Children from Hamsterley Primary School would like to say a huge thank you to customers of Sainsbury’s for their generosity on the afternoon of 9th December.
Pupils sang Christmas carols to shoppers getting some last minute presents bought and making sure the shelves are stocked for Christmas.
Deputy Headteacher Mr. Hassan said, “All the staff and customers at the store were so kind and encouraging, and as a result the children greatly enjoyed the experience.”
The children managed to raise an amazing sum of £187 in just an hour and half.
The money will now directly benefit them adding to school funds.
