WI visit Wensleydale

Members of Ferryhill Village WI enjoyed a visit to the Wenslydale cheese factory last week.

“The weather was kind to us,” said a spokesperson, although there was a little rain it was while we were on the bus. We all enjoyed the cheese experience, learning the history of Wenslydale cheese and watching how it’s made. Some of our members managed to eat their own weight in cheese tasters as well as having a bite to eat in the coffee shop. It’s in a beautiful part of the country and the views were stunning. To end a fabulous day we called in at Archers Ice Cream on the way home. A good day was had by all.”

“Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 2nd August at the Dean Bank and Literary Institute. As always we are pleased to welcome any visitors.”
