Victoria Fox from Willington recently walked 7.5 miles a day, every day, for a week to raise funds for Blues Rescue in Bosnia.
Victoria took a different route each day from Willington, covering Bishop Auckland, Crook and Howden areas, among others.
In between walks, she was also interviewed on BBC Radio Tees to talk about the charity.
Joining her on her walks each day was Winter, the dog she fosters from Blues Rescue.
“Blues Rescue rely solely on the public for donations and through fundraising activities and raffles,” Victoria explained. “The government in Bosnia will not help, even though they are a registered charity.
“Blues is only a small organisation, currently caring for ten dogs.
“The founder, Adisa helps dogs that have been badly mistreated and injured.
“The dogs are nursed back to health and then sent to their forever homes across Europe and the UK.
“At the moment they need funding for basic items such as food and medication and to help with transport and passport expenses.”
