Bishop Auckland Town Hall’s ‘Have a Go’ season invites you to try your hand at a variety of activities to keep you occupied in the winter months.
Among the activities on offer are a beading workshop, a glass jewellery workshop and beginners printing workshops.
Most are aimed at all ages from 12 years through to adults and are an ideal opportunity for people to try new crafts they might want to develop, or for families to get crafty together!
The season begins on Saturday 2nd October at 10am with a Beading Workshop where, under the expert guidance of Andrea from Bead Ladies, participants will create a daisy necklace and 6-chain bracelet. The cost is £6 and includes materials.
On Wednesday 27th October at 10am there is a Steel Pans Workshop, where participants can try their hand at making music caribbean style! The class is for ages 10+, places are limited and cost £6.
A Glass Jewellery workshop on Saturday 6th November will give participants an opportunity to create up to 3 pieces of unique glass jewellery, under the expert eye of tutor Alison Lowery from Entropy Glass.
Alison will have completed pieces returned well in time for Christmas. Due to the nature of the workshop under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult. Places for this workshop cost £10.
In addition to the regular monthly Print Workshop (Thursday 7th October at 10.15am), there is also a series of Print Workshops for complete beginners. These begin on Thursday 7th October from 1.30pm
to 3.30pm. Places for all sessions must be booked in advance to allow for preperation, and each session cost £6.
