Every year when Santa visits the Chilton Christmas light switch-on to meet children of all ages and hear their Christmas wishes, he starts off the festivities by distributing selection boxes donated by Chilton Town Council, writes Cllr Sue Reece.
This year, the council ordered a few extra boxes to ensure that the residents of the Chilton Care Centre, as well as Chilton Academy Choir, singing this year at the Mayor’s Carol Service at St Aidan’s Church, the pupils of Elemore Hall School Windlestone Site and of Chilton Academy also received a festive chocolate treat.
It may be a small gift, but for many of those that receive it… it provides them with a little piece of Christmas magic to enjoy!
