On Saturday 16 March, Ferryhill Town Band put on a thrilling performance at the North of England Brass Band Championships held at the Gala Theatre in Durham.
Facing off against nine other talented bands from the region, Ferryhill secured an impressive second-place finish!
This incredible achievement comes after months of dedication and hard work from the band.
Earning a coveted invitation to compete at the National Finals, held later this year at Cheltenham Racecourse, is a true honour.
“It’s a privilege to qualify and compete against the best bands from around the UK,” a spokesperson for the band shared, reflecting on the months of tireless preparation.
“This wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering commitment of our members and conductor.”
As they prepare to take the national stage and represent Ferryhill with pride, the band will continue their fundraising efforts in the coming months to secure the resources needed to compete at the highest level.
