Eight-year-old chronic asthma sufferer, Thomas German-Iddon from Bishop Auckland was inspired to take part in a non-stop clubathon dance fundraiser when his uncle Derek sadly passed away at the age of 50 after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
The clubbathon took place on 4th February at KIng James 1st Academy and was supported by fitness coach, Robert Proud.
Thomas’s mother, Suzanne said: “A couple of weeks ago, when his uncle sadly passed away, Thomas decided he wanted to remember him and raise vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. So far he has raised a fantastic £210.
“We are so proud of Thomas as it takes alot of stamina and confidence, yet he never stopped dancing. He has such a big heart and we hope that readers will help him achieve his goal of raising as much money as possible.
