The Dedication of the Field of Remembrance

On Friday 31 October, Ferryhill Station Royal British Legion Branch Chair Andy Denholm, Vice Chair Carole Atkinson and Ferryhill Poppy Appeal Organiser Clare Metcalfe took the Branch sign to Saltwell Park, Gateshead prior to The Dedication of the Field of Remembrance Service which was held on Sarturday 1 November.

Then, on Saturday 1 November, Branch Chair Andy Denholm and Poppy Appeal Organiser Clare Metcalfe attended the Dedication Service to watch the Branch Standard Bearer Robert Gray participate in the Dedication Service. As always Robert was immaculately turned out and did the Branch proud. The Branch sign had pride of place in front of the lecturn, where many dignitaries including the Duchess of Northumberland stood and addressed those present.
