The residents at Plevna Mews have reached out to express their thanks to business owners for donating raffle prizes, the Busy Bees for their support and the community for going along to their fundraising afternoon recently.
The event was organised to help the residents buy a defibrillator, which will also be made available to residents in the surrounding area. The event raised a fantastic £1,500, which allowed the residents to not only reach their target in a single fundraiser, but the equipment has already been ordered, paid for and delivered.
A spokesperson for the residents said: “We would like to thank everyone who came along on the day as well as Lynsley’s Butchers, the Corner Cafe, The Original Factory Shop and Church Street Post Office for their generous donations to our raffle. Thanks also to the Busy Bees for having a table and for their very kind cash donation.”
