Chilton residents turned out in numbers to support the launch event for the Mayor’s charities.
Cllr Mayor Sue Reece said “ I would like to thank everyone who came along to Hutton House to support the coffee morning or donated through the just giving page.
“We raised £290 for our chosen charities Blood Cancer UK and the Chilton Toy Appeal.
“Also, a big thank you to everyone who donated cakes, pastries, and raffle prizes. With everyone agreeing that Terri Maitchell is our star baker .”
Fundraising for the Mayor’s charities runs until April 2026 and there will be lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved with events, raffles, tombolas and activities throughout the year.
