After outgrowing its original site, Shildon Stores recently celebrated one year’s trading from its new premises, the former Co-op store on Redworth Road. And in exciting news for the Town Crier, store owner, Vikram Singh has announced he will now be stocking our publication for readers to pick up when you shop.
Always keen to help his community, Vikram has gone above and beyond this summer, including donating thousands of free tasty burgers and delicious free ice creams when the weather was hot.
His Tiktok and Facebook followers love watching his daily reels on new stock and deals he has in the store with reviews from people travelling from miles away just to visit the store.
Vikram said: “I think it’s very important being involved in the community. We are a small store compared to the big chains and our customers become like family.”
Stocking a variety of products, from vapes and unusual drinks to Spanish cleaning supplies, and now the Town Crier, the store is a one stop shop serving the residents of Shildon.
