Ken Simpson of Simpson’s Cobblers in Church Street has been awarded ‘First Place’ for his craftsmanship in the ‘Joh. Rendenbach jr. Master Craftsman of the Year’ competition, which was held in Manchester on Sunday 22nd September.
Ken has entered this prestigious competition since it was initiated in 2006. This is Ken’s second year as winner, the previous time being in 2008.
The competition is open to all shoe repairers in the country.
