Police are appealing for information after a break-in occurred at the Scouts Field between 1pm on Sunday 22nd and 12 noon on Thursday 26th September.
Thieves have broken the locks to the store shed, belonging to Shildon AFC Development Centre, before Smashing a hole through the toilet wall to gain access, knocking a hand drier off the wall in the process.
Nothing was taken from the building, however the club was devasted by the damage, with a spokesperson saying, “A huge amount of work and effort has recently taken place to restore the building, and to have it wrecked like this is just soul destroying.”
Crown Construction, a Shildon-based company, has repaired the damage free of charge.
