For over 50 years, Mrs Maureen McKimm has worked at St. John’s Primary School as a cleaner, and later, as school caretaker. After many years of service, Maureen has finally retired from working at the school.

Hackworth Park has had an upgrade
Shildon Town Council has been working to improve local facilities, with Hackworth Park being a key focus. As part of this work, the bridge over the beck in Hackworth Park, which is widely used by residents and visitors, has recently undergone significant improvement.
