Shildon Amateur Boxing Club held its second home show of the season on Saturday 26 April at the Civic Hall.
Shildon were without a couple of lads through injury, with Joe Cunningham missing out because he is through to the semi-finals of the schools championships next weekend.
That left 12 Shildon boxers and 4 cross matches on the 16 bout card.
Henri Brown and Leon Best both had skills bouts (no winner, no loser) to get the show underway before the scoring bouts started.
Blake Bell came out all guns blazing to record a stoppage win before Josh Jardine was a little hard done by, getting stopped by the referee in an absolute war of a contest.
Tye Noble and Kenzie Watson both fought hard but came out second best on the scorecards, before Lucas Heels got Shildon back to winning ways again after possibly the most entertaining match-up of the day.
Debutant Spencer Hall just fell short in a close contest and then Shay Glaister came out on top, winning on points against a good lad from Scarborough.
Alex Hubery went into the third round of his contest one round apiece but ran out of steam in the third.
Hal Stephenson made it 3 out of 3 in Shildon colours in a very exciting match-up.
Top of the bill saw Kian Dixon get pushed all the way in a contest between two classy boxers, Kian winning by split decision to round off a great afternoon of boxing before the after show party at Old Shildon Club.
