Shildon AFC are now 2nd in the league after recent good performances. On Tuesday 24th September they travelled to Penrith and comfortably won 3 – 0, after Penrith surprisingly knocked the Railwaymen out of the F.A. Cup back in August.
On Saturday 21st September Shildon drew 1 – 1 with West Auckland, a game which they should have won by four clear goals. Shildon’s next game is away to Billingham Synthonia on Saturday 28th September and the following Wednesday, 2nd October, they entertain local rivals Newton Aycliffe at Dean Street.
