Shildon AFC are on the road again, this time in the 1st Round of the F.A. Vase when they travel to Colne on Saturday 1st November.
Colne are in the North West Counties Premier Division and are currently mid table.
The East Lancashire town is near Burnley and also near to Padiham; the team which Shildon beat in the F.A. Cup at the end of August. The town is 82 miles and a 2 hour drive from Shildon.
Shildon AFC were also in the draw for the 1st Round proper of the F.A. Cup alongside Norton United from the Evo-Stik League, after the teams played a 1 – 1 draw on Saturday 25th October, and were drawn at home against Gateshead.

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of ex Darlington and Shildon player Chris Hughes to the board as Director of Football.
Chris has taken over the training of the junior teams, working closely with all the youngsters at the Shildon Development Centre to improve their game and at the same time keep them fit and active and enjoying football activities.
Chris is no stranger to Shildon, as along with his brother Craig, Elliott Woods and Steven Ashman, he set up the first training sessions for Shildon youngsters on the Scouts Field nearly three years ago. Since then the club has gone from strength-to-strength.
