Shildon B-P Scout group joined forces with Shildon Town Council recently to help litter pick in Hackworth Park.
The group, consisting of members from the age of four years, met on Saturday morning to help the town council in their efforts to clean up the community.
The group hopes to become more involved within the community and be a part of all things Shildon, especially when it comes to helping out within the town.
Group Scout Master, Beverley Watkins said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Shildon Town Council for letting us join them and using their equipment on this day. We hope to do this again soon.”
Shildon B-P Scout Group is continuing to build and has space for new members to join.
They have sections from Beavers (4-7) Cubs (7-10), Scouts (10-15), and Senior Scouts (15+).
All their leaders have a wide range of scouting knowledge and are all DBS checked and first aid trained.
The group meets at Shildon Methodist Church Hall on Fridays during term time from 6pm until 8pm and everyone interested is welcome to go along.
