Blade Taekwondo from Bishop Middleham recently competed in the Lanarkshire Open Poomsae Championships in Scotland for their first competition of the 2025 season.
Although Blade only had three students attending, Jess, Claire and Aiden, all brought back medals.
Jess competed in her first competition, facing GB athletes for the first time and managed to bag a bronze.
Aiden also won a great bronze medal in his 3rd competition in Scotland, while Claire achieved a silver medal with an awesome improvement on her high score.
Everyone who attended and supported had a great time and assistant coach Connor also helped by coaching at the side.
“It was a great weekend for our club and an amazing weekend away,” siad head coach, Corey Wilson, a GB athlete and 4th Dan Black Belt.
“We are already working on the next Poomsae competition, as well as preparing our fight team of eight athletes who wish to compete around the country.
“We also have five students taking a Dan promotion test later this year, so there’s lots to prepare for.”
