As Head Coach of Spennymoor Boxing Academy, I couldn’t be prouder of what our boxers, coaches and community have achieved this season, writes Robert Ellis.
We’ve just wrapped up an incredible year on a real high, finishing with three members of our team – Lucas Sewell, Macie Davies and Archie McIvor – entering the Teesside Box Cup and all three came home with gold medals.
To top it off, Archie McIvor delivered a standout performance in the final bout of the season, winning unanimously and securing the club’s 10th straight win.
It’s a streak that reflects the hard work, focus and heart shown by everyone involved with the academy.
None of this would be possible without the unbelievable commitment of our volunteer coaches, who give their time and energy every week to help shape the next generation of talents.
I want to give a massive thank you to each one of them – you’re the heartbeat of this club.

Your backing helps us keep our doors open, our equipment up to date and opportunities alive for young people in our community.
This season has been one to remember – and with the talent we’ve got coming through, there’s plenty more to come.
