The award-winning Reg Vardy Band is to launch its 2022 season in Spennymoor after the pandemic forced it to stop performing concerts for nearly two years.
The concert, at St Paul’s Church on Saturday 5 March at 7.30pm, will be the first led by the band’s new conductor, Chris Shanks.
The programme will include a wide variety of music to suit all tastes, including pieces not usually played by a brass band, and arrangements by band member Alan Catherall, a well-known and popular arranger of brass band music.
The Reg Vardy Band have cemented their reputation winning prizes at national and international championships to become one of the most successful brass bands in history.
