Spennymoor Town is delighted to announce Rob Ramshaw has signed a new deal with the club until 2024.
The midfielder, 28, was brought to The Brewery Field in 2016 by former Manager Jason Ainsley, joining Moors following a spell at Gateshead along with James Curtis and Jamie Chandler.
Ramshaw proved a vital figure in his first season as Moors gained promotion from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division courtesy of his stunning winner against Stourbridge in April 2017.
That now-famous strike earned Spennymoor a place in the National League North, the highest level the club has achieved to date.
Renowned for his unrivalled energy levels and work rate, Ramshaw’s performances in his first campaign since promotion earned him a call up to the England C squad in March 2018.
He played a key part as Spennymoor reached the play-off final in May 2019, before recording his finest season to date in terms of numbers in 2019/20 when he netted ten times.
Now enjoying life under Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley, Ramshaw is aiming to help Moors mount a charge to the play-off places this season.
