As part of this year’s Bishop Auckland Food Festival, local celebrity chef Mike Bartley will be offering a four-course evening menu during a pop-up dining experience.

The event will take place at the Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 23 April with arrival at 6.30pm for dining at 7pm. There will be Live music and a bar available to purchase drinks.

Mike said; “I’m super excited to be cooking at Bishop Auckland Town Hall as part of Bishop Food Festival. As a local lad and a festival-goer for years, it’s a massive honour for me to be involved in the festival for a second year.

I’m looking forward to bringing you a menu that is inspired by our local area – each dish contains at least one ingredient that grows in abundance around Bishop Auckland and has been picked especially for this event.”

Mike was born in Bishop Auckland and competed in Masterchef 2021, winning a coveted Masterchef apron and received strong feedback from judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, as well as guest judges Thomas Frake (Masterchef Champion 2020) and Ping Coombes (Masterchef Champion 2014).

Following his Masterchef journey he decided to pack in the day job and pursue a career as chef. Focusing on bringing a fine dining experience into people’s homes as a personal chef, I have catered for a range of special occasions and family/friend gatherings in the North-East, ranging from 4 – 40 guests.

Tickets are limited and are priced at £35 per person.
