An exhibition of paintings and drawings by Members of the Guild of Railway Artists, which will include depictions from the Guild’s new book ‘Emotions of Railway Art’, will be on display from Monday 26th August to Sunday 6th October at Locomotion, the National Railway Museum at Shildon.
Formed some 35 years ago, the Guild has staged exhibitions of its members work in many parts of the Country.
This will be its 4th annual exhibition to be staged at Locomotion.
It is hoped that up to 100 works of art will be on show from the well-known and the lesser-known-artists who are members of the Guild.
The subject matter for the exhibition, as with all Guild exhibitions, will cover many aspects of railway in a number of art mediums such as oils, watercolour, acrylics, pencil and more.
The Guild hopes that it will interest those who enjoy the railway scene both past and present as well as those with interests in fine art.
The majority of works of art on display will be offered for sale.
