The PDSA visited Etherley Lane School recently to talk to pupils about caring for their pets.
Pupils found out about the food and toys that different pets need. They also learnt how to be responsible dog owners, reinforcing the message from their visitors at the council earlier this term.
They also discovered that the PDSA is a charity and were surprised how many millions of pounds they have to raise each year to care for ill and injured pets.
After school, families from the school had the opportunity to have a free health check for their pet dogs. This proved very popular and there was a long queue to see the nurse!
