Baccanalia has announced the return of Bishop Auckland Pride, taking place on Saturday, 14th June.
This free all-day festival, in association with Bishop Auckland College, will once again transform the college grounds into a vibrant celebration of belonging, unity, and local pride.
Now in its second year, Bishop Auckland Pride builds on the tremendous success of its debut, promising an even richer line-up of free entertainment and activities. People can look forward to live music, family-friendly performances, food and craft stalls, creative workshops, inspiring talks, and an art and photography exhibition that showcases students’ diverse talents.
A cornerstone of the festival is its educational and professional development opportunities for students. Participants will play a hands-on role in planning and delivering the event, gaining real-world experience in areas such as event management, logistics, site coordination, and design.

The festival is part of a wider Bishop Auckland Pride programme, which will include a series of fringe events and themed activities throughout the town in the lead-up to the main celebration.
For the second year running, Bishop Auckland Town Council has contributed generously to the Pride programme, supporting local regeneration, economic growth, and social cohesion for the people of Bishop Auckland and its visitors and businesses.
