Following a Motion from Councillor Curtis Bihari, which was put to Council and discussed at its meeting on 24 July, members of Ferryhill Town Council agreed to install a ‘Letters to Loved Ones’ post-box at Duncombe Cemetery, which Cllr Bihari agreed to fund from his small grants funding.

The post-box has now been installed at the cemetery and will be a welcome addition to many grieving families in the community.

Cllr Bihari said: “The addition of the post-box will be a valued resource to help families in Ferryhill deal with the loss of loved ones and aid those in grief.”
