Plant a tree for a loved one

The Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland is giving people a chance to plant a tree in celebration of a new arrival, a special anniversary or in remembrance of a loved one.

Planting a tree at Butterwick Glade is ‘a gift that keeps on giving’.

A Butterwick spokesperson commented, “By planting a tree, the gift you give keeps on giving. It is not only a living memory or celebration, it helps the environment also. “In return for planting the tree all we ask is for a donation to the hospice of a minimum of £15.”

A planting session will take place on Friday 22nd October from 12.30pm to 2pm.

If you would like to take part in building upon Butterwick Glade at Willington Hill, Crook, contact Lynn Albury at the Butterwick on 01388 603003 or email lynnalbury@butterwick.org.uk.
