Bishop Auckland Girls FC have expressed their appreciation to Asda Bishop Auckland, for providing funding of £200 via their green token scheme.
The cash has helped the club to buy equipment for the club’s new Under 11s team, including footballs, training poles, cones, bibs and a medical bag for the start of the new 2014/15 season.
The club is looking to attract new players for their Under 11s team (girls in school year 5), their under 15s team (girls in school years 8 and 9) and their Ladies team (age 16 upwards).
All teams train on a Wednesday at Hunwick Cricket club from 6pm.
The club currently have age groups at under 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, 15s and a new Ladies Team but would welcome interest from any girls wanting to develop their footballing skills. They also have a thriving development age group (ages 4-7).
