A new Spennymoor care home has been officially opened by the Town Mayor.
Cllr Ian Geldard cut the ribbon at an official ceremony at the DurhamGate Care Home on Thursday, November 2.
Offering residential care, short-term stays and specialist dementia care, facilities include a cinema, library, bar and beauty salon.
Cllr Geldard said: “It’s a pleasure to be able to officially open this new home, which will provide high quality care facilities in Spennymoor. It was great to hear more about the fantastic activities on offer to residents and those lucky enough to move in will be made to feel at home.”
