Ferryhill Miners Utd have become the latest group to benefit through Ferryhill Town Council’s Members Initiative Fund. Launched in April 2022, the fund has now seen a total of £17,250 being donated to support local projects and initiatives.
In a presentation held at Ferryhill Sports & Education Centre, where the club is based, Cllr Judith Donald presented representatives from the football club with a cheque for £350.
Funds will be used to help cover the club’s pitch line-marking fees for the year.
Cllr Donald said: “I am delighted to be able to support Ferryhill Miners Utd Youth Football Club. The club is doing a fantastic job providing grassroots football facilities and coaching for young people, and I am very happy to contribute monies through my MIF allocation to help cover come of the club’s costs”
