Ferryhill Town Council has announced that the latest group to benefit from the council’s Members Initiative Fund is Ferryhill School, who recently attended a cheque presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall, where Councillors Kim Tinkler and Christine Woods presented the school’s Geography teacher, Leanne Harris, with a cheque for £300 from their MIF allocations.
The funds provided through the MIF allocation will be used to purchase and print hoodies for children attending a forthcoming trip to Iceland as part of their geography studies.
Councillors Tinkler and Woods said: “We are delighted to be able to support the school with this project, providing an identifiable piece of clothing for children attending this important educational trip.”
