Each year the elected Mayor of Ferryhill chooses a charity or a number of charities to raise funds for and after careful consideration, this year the Mayor has chosen to support Little Treasures Autism Charity and Stray Aid.
The newly appointed mayor, Cllr Angus Ferguson said: “I wanted to support local charities and we have so many excellent groups in Ferryhill, that previous mayors have supported over the years, and it was very difficult to narrow it down.
“I hope the community get behind my fundraising efforts to raise as much as possible for Little Treasures and Stray Aid over the next year”.
Fundraising events will be held throughout the year for the two charities, advertised in the Chapter, on noticeboards around town and on the Town Council’s website and Facebook page.
