Spennymoor Boxing Academy would like to give a massive shout out and well done to their coach Matthew Morgan.
Matty boxed for the club from the late 80s, having over ten bouts as a Spennymoor boxer. He has continued to coach throughout the years and has been their club official for the past seven years.
As well as being an amateur judge for the past nine years, he has now completed his Grade C referee course and assessments and qualified on 13 November.
Head coach Robert Ellis says: “Well done Matty, this is a huge achievement.
“Thanks for all your ongoing help and support passing on your expertise to boxers.”
