On behalf of Shildon Freemasons Phil Barber, Worshipful Master of Byerley Lodge, has expressed his appreciation to everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning which was held on Saturday 27th September at Shildon Masonic Hall.
Phil commented, “Thank you to all our volunteers on the day, the ladies that baked cakes, our stallholders and everyone else that helped and supported us. The morning was a success and raised over £700, although this is subject to change as monies and donations are still coming in.”
The event was opened by local cancer survivor Kieran Maxwell.
After the coffee morning it was a happy duty for Phil to donate a cake to the staff and residents of Holly Lodge Care Home, who had been unable to attend the fundraiser.
There are still unclaimed raffle prizes from the event. To claim, email Stephen-blain@sky.com.
