As we move into 2026, the ‘Our Gym’ Fitness Suite in the Chilton Sports and Social Community Club is encouraging local residents to swap resolutions for real results—with an inviting, affordable, and friendly space designed to help people get fitter, feel better, and connect with others.
Unlike high‑intensity gyms aimed at building bulk, the Community Fitness Suite focuses on accessible exercise for everyone—whatever their age, ability, or confidence level. The aim is simple: to help people move more, feel healthier, and enjoy the social boost that comes with being part of a welcoming community setting.
“New Year is the perfect moment to try something new, and our fitness suite offers a relaxed, no‑pressure environment where people can build fitness at their own pace,” said a spokesperson for the Club. “Our members tell us that the social aspect is just as important as the physical activity—whether it’s a chat on the treadmill or a friendly face to motivate you. It’s all part of improving your overall wellbeing.”
In keeping with its community ethos, the Fitness Suite offers some of the lowest prices anywhere in the region, with all income going back into the running of the Club:
- Annual memberships starting from just £5
- Family membership capped at only £15 per year
- Sessional fees of £1 or £2 depending on age
These low‑cost options aim to remove financial barriers and make regular physical activity accessible to everyone in the local community.
To suit a variety of lifestyles, the suite operates twice daily:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 11:30am
- Monday to Friday: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Each session is supervised by a friendly, approachable adult volunteer—available to help with equipment, provide guidance, or simply offer encouragement to those who are just getting started.
For more information pop along to any of the above advertised sessions this January. We can give you a quick and simple friendly tour and talk through any queries you have.
