Last week saw a great turn out for the community litter pick at the open space near Lambton Road in Ferryhill.
Glenys from Approach Too said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Durham County Council’s Find and Fix It and Civic Pride teams for their outstanding effort in repairing, painting, jet washing, tree pruning, path widening, graffiti removal, installing a concrete seat base and fly tipping removal.
“And it was so lovely to see the community come together to help finish the job off. Massive thanks also to Cleves Cross Primary year 6 pupils and to Pam, Val, Glynis, Jan, Jill, Karen and Natalie who all came along to lend a hand.
“There were easily over 40 bags of litter collected and removed.”
