Bishop Auckland Town Council has announced a live entertainment line up for the Town Show on Saturday 8th August.
Cllr Lee Brownson, Mayor of Bishop Auckland, will officially open the show at 10am. Free entertainment then starts at 10.15am and continues throughout the day until 3pm.
Acts include a Punch & Judy Show, Mr Twister children’s entertainer and singing by vintage loving female group, The Doo Wop Dollies.
Other attractions include Peter Pan & Tinkerbell and face painting.
A spokesperson for the Town Council said, “We are hoping that lots of people come down to the Market Place on the 8th for this free family fun day out. There will be deck chairs and seating around the stage area so people can stay and enjoy the entertainment.”
Alongside the event will be the regular Saturday Market and there is also a Horticultural Show in the Town Hall from 12 noon.
