Dear Editor,

I would like to thank all those who attended World Sjogren’s Day on Wednesday 23rd July (pictured).

It was a very good day and I would like to express my grateful thanks to Darren Bradley, store manager of T J Hughes in Durham High Street, who was brilliant and put up our banner, and made us a special sign and was so helpful. A lovely man!

Also the wonderful staff in the café: manager, Caroline Murray, daughter Cidney, and Jackie. They were all most attentive, thoughtful and helped make it a happy event.

A special thank you to my two lovely deputies, Pauline and Lynn, who stood in for me when my bus broke down! And to thank them for the beautiful flowers.

Lastly, a big thank you to Dean Bank Primary School in Ferryhill, for the loan of their World Globe which they kindly lent me for the event. It had an unusual journey in a suitcase on a bus, not quite a world trip, but memorable.

Sjogren’s UK continues to support this autoimmune disease hoping one day there might be a cure.

With my thanks to all.

Yours sincerely,
Jane Webber, Sjogren’s UK. Coordinator for Durham, Newcastle & District.
