Dear Editor,
On the 25th March I had a freak accident on the Auckland way near Park Head.
A really super gentleman called Neil, who was from Newton Aycliffe, not only stopped to help me, he also sorted out my bicycle.
He stayed with me until we arrived at Binchester road end and phoned his wife who drove from Aycliffe, and got the good people at the car centre to look after my bike until I am fit enough to collect it.
They then took me to my sister’s who took me to A&E.
There are still some really nice people around.
