Dear Editor,
Officially from the end of June, a town the size of Spennymoor will no longer have a bank or building society, (it will still have a post office) as Lloyds Bank is closing.
I was informed if I needed a branch to go to Durham. That’s over one hour return bus journey.
I am 70 and live alone but do these banks care?
