We have been closed for community activities during August due to having major work done on our central heating systems in both of our buildings, reports Susan Horner.
Thanks to very generous donations from Bernard Sunley Foundation, Sir James Knott (Samares) Trust, Rothley Trust and Pebble Trust and our own fundraising efforts, we were able to raise over £12,500 in order to replace central heating radiators with modern ones, so improving our carbon footprint whilst hopefully reducing energy costs, making our premises more sustainable to run.
We will be re-starting our community activities in September with the benefit of also having a life-saving defibrillator on the premises.
Our Chatty Crafty Cafe restarts on Tuesday 5th September from 1pm. We would love to welcome back all our members plus new ones. Come along and see what we have on offer.
Our weekly coffee mornings restart on Thursday 7th September from 9.45am. Again a warm welcome awaits you. Come along and re-join old friends or make new ones.
