Kirk Merrington Sunday strolls

Fiona Duke, Sarah Brandon, Philip Chater, Rev Barbara Hilton and Freddie, Sue Marr and Millie.

Despite the early rain, members of St David’s and St John’s congregation (plus two dogs) set off for an afternoon stroll. The weather soon improved and the walkers enjoyed lovely views of the Durham countryside.

Their next Sunday stroll is on 17th September at 2pm starting at Sunderland Bridge. The group is hoping to have about four leisurely walks a year and everyone is welcome to participate. The walks will start fairly locally and are about three to five miles in length.

Please let Rev Barbara know if you have a favourite walk that you would like to share. Also let her know if you would like a lift to and from the walk’s starting point. It can be easily arranged. You can contact her via phone – 01388 814093 or email – barbara17hilton[@]yahoo[.]co[.]uk
