Kirk Merrington Craft Makers would like to say a great big thank you to all who donated materials to their craft club, to those who donated raffle and tombola prizes, to those who hired stalls, to those who helped out and especially to each and every member of the community who attended the event on 9 August and spent their hard earned cash on their makes and bakes (donated by ‘The Blind Baker’).
The grand total, donated to St Cuthberts Hospice, was £1750.
The Craft Makers have decided to continue supporting St Cuthberts Hospice for the remainder of the year, so look out for more craft stalls at local craft fairs, table top sales and pop up events at Kirk Merrington Community Centre and surrounding areas.
Every penny spent on their stalls goes directly to the charity.
Kirk Merrington Craft Makers is a charity craft group which meets at Kirk Merrington Community Centre, every Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Admission is £2 per session, which includes refreshments and materials.
They take donated fabric, yarns and other craft materials and turn them into a wide variety of makes, which they then sell to support their chosen charities.
They welcome all skill levels and have members who are willing to teach new skills to others.
