To celebrate Nigel Price’s fundraising achievements, Shildon Comunity Bus volunteers are inviting the community to join them in Shildon Methodist Church Hall on Saturday 31 May at 11.30am for free refreshments including cake. All are welcome.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Nigel will be completing the final stage of his 140 mile walk and is expected to arrive in Shildon at approximately 12.30pm.
“If you would like to walk the final four miles with him, please meet at Newton Aycliffe train station at 11.00am (look out for our bus).
“We will be taking photos with the walkers and the Shildon Community Bus before the final few miles are completed.
“We also have some small fundraising items for sale – necklaces, candles etc.
“All donations will be gratefully received towards the cost of our new bus, due this summer.
“You can also pick up information regarding our services for local groups and associations.”
