The Humble Garden CIC recently hosted its first Pumpkin Patch event, made possible thanks to funding from Ferryhill Town Council’s Member Initiative Fund.
The event was a great success, welcoming sixteen local children who each had the opportunity to carve their own pumpkin to take home. Families enjoyed the creative and engaging sessions in the garden, celebrating the autumn season and spending quality time together outdoors.
The Humble Garden CIC aims to provide inclusive, community-based activities that encourage residents to connect with nature and each other. The Pumpkin Patch event is a clear example of how local support and partnership can help strengthen community engagement in Ferryhill.
Director Lucille said: “It was wonderful to see so many children and families enjoying themselves at the garden. Events like this really bring our community together and highlight what can be achieved with a little support and a lot of enthusiasm. We’re very grateful to Ferryhill Town Council for making this event possible.”
The Humble Garden CIC would like to extend sincere thanks to Ferryhill Town Council for their continued support, which enables the organisation to deliver events that bring people together and make positive use of local green spaces.
