The Hirst Court Lunch Club Christmas Lunch was held on Monday 18 December. This was attended by 20 members who enjoyed a three-course lunch of homemade soup, turkey and gammon with all the trimmings, followed by a dessert of trifle, cheesecake and mince pies.
This event was part funded from County Councillor Liz Maddison’s Neighbourhood Funding, administered by Spennymoor Area Action Partnership, and organised by STAR Fundraising Group.
The regular lunch club returns on 15 January from 12pm – 2pm, then every second Monday, in the Communal Lounge at Hirst Court, Middlestone Moor.
The fee is £3 for unlimited tea, coffee, biscuits and a hot snack. There is also a raffle at 50p per ticket.
All are welcome to go along and make new friends.
