A well known local doctor and Rotarian, Kishor Velangi celebrated his 90th birthday recently, writes John Yeomans.
Kishor was born in the Mumbai (Bombay) Province of India.
After graduating from medical school, he came to England and practised medicine in various towns before settling in Shildon where he and his wife Vivian and family lived before moving to Bishop Auckland.
In true Indian style his 90th celebrations ended with a delightful curry lunch at The Amaani restaurant in Durham.
