The Town Mayor, Councillor Ian Geldard was privileged to take time out of his hectic schedule to visit Mrs Cathy Bulmer on the occasion of her 90th birthday on Wednesday 10 January.
Originally from Yorkshire, Mrs Bulmer was married to Gordon Bulmer from Spennymoor.
She was well known for her dress-making skills, and was also a staunch member of the Country Markets. She has one son, one daughter and five grandchildren.
She celebrated the occasion with a party at Lothian House.
The Mayor said, “It’s been wonderful meeting Mrs Bulmer and her family today.
“This is a fabulous milestone and I’m pleased to take part in the celebration.”
