Adam Thompson reached the incredible age of 104 on Monday 11 November.
Adam lives in Sycamore Lodge, which is sheltered accommodation in Middlestone Moor.
He has lived in Middlestone Moor for the last sixty eight years. His three children all live in the local area.
During his working life, he worked at Whitworth Colliery before moving on to the Smart and Brown factory in Merrington Lane.
Adam has never had a credit card, a cheque book, a driving licence or a passport.
